Transitioning from Dirty to Clean Products

When using products to clean my home or choosing cosmetics, I’ve never been overly concerned about the chemicals that I was using. As long as it was effective, that’s all that mattered to me. Well recently, things have changed and I have started to become aware of the need to transition to cleaner products and I am now learning more about it.

One of the first things I started with was essential oils. I had purchased oils on Amazon and after posting about it on my Instagram stories, some of my followers messaged me saying that I should be careful with the types of essential oils that I am using. A lot of them are not pure and could be harmful. A former work colleague of mine also contacted me and provided me with a wealth of information about DoTERRA. I did some more research and decided to return the oils I had purchased from Amazon and switched over to DoTERRA. I must admit that there is definitely a difference between the essential oils, I’m so glad I switched and you simply have to try it to understand why.

This made me more interested in looking into other clean products and I decided that as I finish the products that I currently have, I will look for cleaner alternatives. So far I have switched my dishwasher pods to The Unscented Company ones and my husband and I have switched our deodorant to Native. So far we’re happy with the transition, however, I would like to use both of these products for a longer period before I do a thorough review.

As for cleaning products, I am now using vinegar, baking soda and dish soap to clean the bathrooms and Norwex and E-cloths for a lot of my cleaning. I shared all about Norwex vs E-Cloths in this video and explained how they work and why I love using these microfibre cloths.

I've also switched over to cleaner laundry products, shampoo, conditioner and soap, but I'm still testing all of this out. I will share about it once I'm confident that they're effective. Cosmetics is the last thing that I will tackle. I’m just taking it one Tiny and Tidy step at a time!
